Drone Surveys
Our drone surveys provide a safe, efficient and cost-effective way to inspect areas of a property that are difficult or unsafe to access from ground level. Using high-resolution aerial imagery, we can assess roofs, chimneys, gutters, valleys, flashings and other elevated elements for signs of damage, deterioration or maintenance requirements without the need for immediate scaffolding or specialist access equipment.
Drone inspections can be carried out as a standalone service or alongside a RICS Home Survey, providing clear photographic evidence to support our findings and helping clients make informed decisions about repairs and ongoing maintenance.

Defect Identification
From ground level, a chimney may appear to be in good condition and free from defects. However, our high-resolution drone inspections allow us to safely examine areas that are otherwise difficult to access, often revealing issues that cannot be seen from below.
As shown in the second image, defects such as damaged mortar, deteriorated brickwork or failed flashings can allow water to penetrate the property, potentially leading to damp, structural deterioration and poor internal air quality. Early identification of these issues enables timely repairs, helping to prevent more extensive damage and avoid unnecessary repair costs.

Verge Defects
Drone inspections provide a safe and effective way to assess roof verges that are difficult to inspect from ground level.
High-resolution imagery allows us to identify visible defects such as cracked or missing mortar, loose verge tiles and signs of deterioration that could lead to water ingress, tile displacement or opportunities for pests such as bees, wasps, squirrels or bats to enter the roof void. Early identification helps prevent more extensive damage and supports timely maintenance.

Flat Roof Drone Inspections
Our drone inspections provide a safe and cost-effective way to assess flat roofs without the need for immediate scaffolding or access equipment. Using high-resolution aerial imagery, we can identify visible defects such as damaged roof coverings, failed flashings, ponding water, blocked outlets and general deterioration.
Ideal for property purchases or routine maintenance, our inspections provide clear photographic evidence to help identify issues early and support informed decisions on repairs and ongoing maintenance.

Aerial Site Overview
A drone provides a unique aerial perspective of a property and its surroundings, offering a comprehensive site overview that cannot be achieved from ground level alone. High-resolution imagery can capture the roof, boundaries, outbuildings, gardens, access routes and the property's wider setting, helping to identify visible defects, maintenance requirements and site constraints. This service is particularly useful for property purchases, planning maintenance and documenting the overall condition of a property.

Drone Survey & Costs
Enhance your RICS Home Survey Level 2 or Level 3 with a professional drone inspection. Using high-resolution aerial imagery, we can safely inspect roofs, chimneys and other elevated areas that are difficult to assess from ground level.
If you have a specific concern, such as water ingress or a suspected roof defect, we also offer standalone drone inspections from £125. These inspections provide a detailed defect report, together with high-resolution photographs, helping you or your chosen contractor identify and plan any necessary repairs.
Drone inspections can often eliminate the need for immediate scaffolding or other access equipment, potentially saving significant time and expense while providing a safe and efficient method of inspection.
Please note: Drone flights are subject to suitable weather conditions and aviation safety requirements. If we are unable to carry out the inspection due to adverse weather or other operational restrictions, we will either rearrange the appointment at a mutually convenient time or provide a full refund of the drone inspection fee.
